There are significant amounts of money that will be made in the Commercial SpaceFlight program with NASA. With important amounts of money that will be made, the multiple companies compete to ground contracts with NASA for several missions and to place payloads in space. Spacex seems to be the beloved NASA at this time, gaining more contracts and handling more missions than other competition companies. Recently, Spacex received the contract worth billions of dollars to place a lander lunar on the surface of the moon.
One of the main competitors for that contract against Spacex was of blue origin. A new report arose affirming that the blue origin has been lost in a dozen main engineers and key employees during the summer. Some of these workers left the company after the founder Jeff Bezos used him the massive fortune of him to make a trip to space. The exit of the key employees also arrived weeks after the company lost Spacex for NASA’s mission.
The report also indicates that after the massive exodus of key talent, the blue origin gave its employees cash bonuses of $ 10,000 without attached chains in an attempt to retain workers. Unfortunately for blue origin, some of your key staff went to competitors, including Spacex and Firefly Aerospace.
It is worth noting that none of the workers was specific about their reason why they left the company. However, the report cites the company’s reviews in Glassdoor that points to the Executive Administration and the slow bureaucracy as reasons to leave.
The report says that some of the engineers who started from blue origin were part of their LANDER LUNAR program. Blue origin protested Spacex’s profit from the contract. At the end of last month, the Liability Responsibility Government Office gave a clear reason why only Spacex was chosen for the Langer Lunar Contract. The Gao pointed out that Spacex is significantly cheaper and having a better record than the other offers. Limited funds were also cited as the main reason why a single provider was chosen.
