Ford has been selling Explorer SUV for several years. One of the most popular models oriented to SUV sports is Explorer St. Recently, rumors swirled that Ford would add a retroactic version, only on the line line, and Ford has confirmed that.
In the model year 2022, Explorer St will be offered in a single-traction version and the four-wheel version that is now available. Ford has also revealed a new ST-Line line that offers the appearance of performance and technology packages to customers who do not want the performance of the normal ST model.
The Explorer ST rear-wheel drive is driven by an EcoBoost V6 of 3.0 liters, which produces 400 horsepower and 415 torque pounds. That is the same power output of the motor available in the four-wheel version; Both SUV use an automatic transmission of 10 speeds.
The new ST-LINE line is positioned between the XLT and the limited editions. It is equipped with appearance and technological updates of the ST and uses the traction transmission on the rear wheels as standard, with a four-wheel drive option. The engine on the ST line is the 2.3-liter echoboost that makes 300 horsepower matched with an automatic transmission of 10 speeds.
Ford says that the St line is designed for those who want the style and appearance of the ST, but not wanting the power or spending of the ST model. ST-LIN begins at $ 7570 less than Explorer St and $ 2575 less than the St. Explorer Enthusiast. St. Line looks like ST browser on the outside. Buyers have several options, including an audio system of 12 speakers, wireless load for phones and Ford Co-Pilot 360 technology, among other options.
For 2022, Ford has confirmed changes for other models in the Explorer alignment, including standard power vehicles of 400 horsepower for King Ranch and Platinum settings. Buyers can also choose a second-row bank seat or captain’s chairs at no additional charge. A second-row bank seat is also available on Timberline models. All models of 2022 explorers will land in the exhibition halls at the end of this year.
